Turn Change

At the end of a turn, the protocol is as follows.

Map Release

The Capitol releases the updated map, including its objects and D-Zones. Tribute positions are not indicated unless they are in spaces that require it, or if telltale cells have been used, etc. The map also reports which tributes have died, who was responsible, what tasks they have completed, and whether mines or bombs have been activated and how long until the latter explode. For deceased tributes, their equipment and perks are listed.

While the cause of death is not usually reported, there are some exceptions: it is reported whether the death was due to being pushed into D-Zones or dying while performing a task. It is also reported whether the person who committed the murder dies.

The map release is important not only for the direct information it provides but also for the indirect information it offers by comparing it to previous maps. If an object disappears overnight, it's very likely that a tribute is in that space. If someone dies, it's very likely that the space where objects appear is where they died…

Private Meetings with the Capitol

After the map is released, each tribute is individually informed of what happened to them during their turn, who they have in sight, and relevant data such as their energy and sponsorship points, objects on them, and actions performed and pre-selected. It's important that the tributes check this list daily to ensure it's correct.

Upon receiving all the information, the tributes must specify how to perform the action selected in the previous turn and mark the action for the next turn, remembering the rule of not repeating an action until the relevant turns have passed.

Additionally, if you wish to ask questions or request tasks or object deliveries during the current turn, this is also the time to indicate this.
