Sponsorship Points
Like any good show, in The Hunger Games, entertaining the audience is rewarded with sponsorship points, which are useful for requesting the Capitol to perform various tasks at your convenience, throw you objects, or answer your questions.
The Capitol's favors, with the exception of answering questions, can be split between several tributes if they wish, and if several request the same favor, they will all be charged, even if they have points left over.
To earn sponsorship points, you can perform the following actions. The points are in parentheses:
Write a journal entry in the journal thread that will be available in the group (variable)
This is an option you should definitely take advantage of, because they are extra points that are always welcome, and all your enemies will surely get them too. It works in cycles. Writing a journal entry on turn 1 gives 1 point, writing another between turns 2 and 3 gives 2 points, between turns 4 and 6 gives 3 points, between turns 7 and 10 gives 4 points, between turns 11 and 15 gives 5 points, between turns 16 and 21 gives 6 points, between turns 22 and 28 gives 7 points, between turns 29 and 36 gives 8 points, between turns 37 and 45 gives 9 points… In each of these cycles, only one journal entry is allowed, and the points are collected at the end of the turn in which it is written.
The diaries must contain written entries (not just images or videos), and must recount at least one event that occurred on the island, whether true or false.
Sex (2)
Since each tribute who has sex receives sponsorship, this is an excellent way for large teams to gain sponsorship. It's also a way to convince any other tribute to do you a favor if you need to replenish your energy and the other party doesn't.
Hit or Steal (1)
For every hit you make on another tribute, you receive sponsorship, even if they're on your team. For example, if you land three empowered punches in a turn, that would be three extra sponsorship points. You wouldn't get any more if you only land a single empowered punch. Boomerangs are an excellent way to benefit from this, as they grant one extra point for each space they hit. Explosives and pushing into detonation zones don't count.
Blocking a Hit (3)
Taking cover from potential attacks has another advantage besides survival: the audience loves seeing you put your shield (or arms) between yourself and your enemies.
Activating a Grenade/Mine/Bomb (4)
Something about to explode is always exciting. If you're not sure about using explosives because of their usefulness at a particular moment in the game, at least you can do it for the audience.
Killing (5)
Every time you eliminate another tribute, in addition to being closer to victory, you'll be rewarded with a significant amount of sponsorship. This applies even if you kill someone on your team. Explosives and pushing into detonation zones don't count.
Boost actions by paying energy (boosting without paying doesn't count) (1 for every 2 energy points invested)
Each time you spend your own energy boosting an action, you'll gain public favor with as many sponsorship points as the energy you spent. So don't hesitate to boost actions if you think you can replenish the energy invested and need favors.
