Cancellation and Change of Actions

When specifying how actions are used, conditions can only depend on the space an action occupies and the other tributes and objects in that space. Only the recipients of actions or where they take place can be conditioned. Actions can be boosted or not depending on conditions, but the boost must always be paid in any case. That is, if you indicate that you want to boost an enemy with 6 points, but only an ally with 3, you will pay 6 points regardless.

It is possible to cancel some actions on the same turn without replacing them, as long as they are not rest, sex, or using an item that is consumed. Canceling them does not prevent effects such as poison or overload from still being harmful, if applicable.

To change an action on the same turn, you need 10 or more energy points, and the cost is losing 1 energy point, regardless of how many you have. This payment method even allows you to repeat actions.

Examples of appropriate conditionals:

  • “I want to push my teammate upwards if we're alone, but if someone else enters, I want to push that person downwards.”

  • “I want to shoot an arrow at the square to the right if I'm alone, but if someone enters, I want to hit whoever enters.”

  • “I want to hit anyone except Jacob.”

  • “I want to push my teammate with 3 boost points to the northwest, but if someone enters the square, I don't want to push anyone.” Note: 3 points will be paid in either case.

Examples of inappropriate conditionals:

  • “I want to move to the left only if there's someone in the square to the right.” WRONG, because what you do can't depend on who's in another square you're not in.

  • “I want to hit someone who isn't on my team.” WRONG, because you have to know that yourself. You can only give names.

  • “I want to hit whoever has the least energy and is going to attack me.” FATAL, I'm not going to give you that information.

Anything left unresolved will be randomly selected by the Capitol if, at the time of the turn, neither the tribute in question nor those they are authorized to select are online to clarify. For example, if a tribute indicates they want to hit a specific tribute and that tribute disappears, the hit will be given to another tribute.
